Candle Care & Safety
- Before lighting, trim the candle wick to approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm). This helps prevent excessive smoking, soot, and uneven burning.
- Place the candle in a stable, heat-resistant holder that can catch any dripping wax or hot embers. Keep candles away from flammable materials.
- Avoid placing candles in drafty areas, as this can cause uneven burning and may lead to accidents.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Ensure someone is present to monitor it at all times.
- Place candles on a flat, heat-resistant surface to prevent damage to furniture or surfaces.
- Position candles at least 3 inches (7.5 cm) apart from each other to prevent heat transfer.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidental contact.
- Burn candles for no longer than the recommended time indicated on the label or packaging.
- Use a snuffer or gently blow out the candle to extinguish it. Avoid using water, as it can cause hot wax to splatter.
- Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire surface to become liquid during the first use. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn in subsequent uses.
- Discontinue use when the candle has about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) of wax remaining to avoid overheating the container.
- Keep the lid nearby to cover and extinguish the candle when not in use. This also prevents dust buildup.
- Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
